This final 3/32”=1’ physical model combines everything I tried to explore and experiment with while doing the previous exercises. I managed to generate both an interior and exterior facade system from the physical model, combining the red stick and white grid systems. By doing this, I could create that layering that you could see in that model at a different scale.
I made two systems to create that differentiation between public and private on the exterior facade. The public facade consists of 18x18-foot tiles and 36x36-foot tiles. The personal facade consists of 12x12 foot tiles and 24x24 foot tiles. This allows for a more separate system than one that seems too artificial. I generated this system in Grasshopper and created it physically by 3D printing.
