Filtration Helmet - Balsa wood, talvec and plastic
Project Description
Based off the previous project of the palimpsest, students were asked to design a device that an inhabitant would use to live on their described landscape from their chosen reading. Because my landscape was described as this toxic trash mine, the patterns in my palimpsest showed sharp geometries that represented glass and plastic shards that stuck out of the ground. This prompted the idea of a filtration helmet that looked very sharp, like the surrounding landscape.
