Project Description
Students were asked to pick two precedents from two separate lists given to them. One list provided various landscape-infused architecture examples, and the other offered different buildings categorized as library or research archive centers. For this project I chose The Garden of Cosmic Speculation and the Viipuri Library. From the two chosen precedents, students were asked to find patterns and shapes through photos of their selected precedents. A minimum of eight layers were created, printed on acetate sheets, and then put together to make overlapping layers that could be arranged in whatever way.
